Imagine being free on the open road to explore parts of our beautiful country. From magnificent coast lines to rural countryside and places of interest and areas of outstanding natural beauty our motor home will enable you to make fond memories. Our short breaks can only be booked as follows; long weekend, Friday to Monday or Mid-Week Monday to Friday. We are sorry, but we do not allow 7 day hire. The idea of the short breaks is you can drive to beautiful destinations within a few hours drive time, allowing ample time for you to get the best out of your visit to your destination and most importantly, time to relax, unwind and spend time to relax with family.

Essex Glamping now offers a small 4 birth motorhome for hire. We call her Betty as she’s quaint and has plenty of character.  Betty loves wandering through the English countryside or seaside locations across the UK and even more so pulling up at tranquil locations to watch the sun go down whilst preparing for a nice BBQ and relaxing under the stars.

Our Motorhome comes with hot and cold water supply, shower, toilet and small kitchen with 3 ring gas hob, cooker, fridge and freezer with ample sleeping space for a family of four or offers plenty of room for a couple. Betty is also equipped with heater so you can hire and travel in the colder months if you wish. There are 4 seat-belts, 2 front and 2 back, the back does allow for a small child seat. We do allow 1 small dog to travel but must be caged and not left to roam whist the vehicle is moving.

It also has leisure battery provision with solar so you can be rest assured to relax somewhere off grid, or there is electric hook up for when you are visiting camp sites or visitor attractions that offer electric hook up. We have provided all kitchen utensils so you don’t have to worry and duvets and pillows are also provided, you just need your linen. Breakdown cover included and full tank of fuel however, the motorhome must returned with a full tank of fuel.

There will be no variation to the above listed booking packages. Booking ad-hoc days is not permitted and will result in the booking being cancelled unless agreed with Essex Glamping.

Our Motor Home can be collected at 2pm on departure date and returned by 12 noon on your return date. We ask for a £200 cash deposit for short breaks and £300 cash deposit for longer. On arrival to collect the Motor home, we will require a copy of updated utility bill with current address and proof of eligibility to drive in the UK and each driver must hold a valid UK driving licence. Only UK travel is permitted under the insurance and drivers must be over the age of 21 and under 79 years of age.

Due to our self drive hire insurance, our short breaks are designed to reduce the amount of time you spend travelling to destinations and therefore we are insured to allow Betty to travel up to 250 miles in either direction. Once you get to your destination, there is unlimited mileage. Please note there are no excess mileage charges but we do ask you to observe the mileage clause in respect to insurance, i.e. 250 in either direction which will get you to some beautiful hot spots in the UK anyway.
